PENNFIELD TWP. — Two individuals suffered solely minor accidents when a car was struck by an Amtrak practice in Pennfield Township Friday night, in keeping with police.
The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Workplace stated at about 9:42 a.m. a 20-year-old male driver from Comstock Park and a 22-year-old feminine passenger from Grand Rapids have been touring southbound on Pine Lake Street close to Pennfield Street north of Battle Creek when police imagine the driving force disregarded the flashing purple lights and the railroad indicator bars that have been lowered and tried to cross the tracks.
The westbound passenger practice struck struck the driving force’s facet of the car.
The motive force and passenger sustained minor accidents and subsequently refused medical transportation to the hospital. Nobody on the Amtrak practice was injured.
The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Workplace was assisted by the CN Railroad Police, Pennfield Hearth Division, and LifeCare.
